Stuck in Customs?

If your international order seems stuck at ‘Customs’, don’t stress, this is a normal part of international shipping, and in most cases, it resolves itself.


🛃 Why is it taking so long?

Since your parcel is travelling outside of Australia, it will go through customs clearance in the destination country. This can cause delays in tracking updates, especially if:

  • It’s your first international order

  • The country has stricter customs procedures

  • It’s during a public holiday or peak season

📦 At the border, customs clearance can take 2–10 business days before the local courier receives and scans your parcel.

Each country’s delivery times vary, your parcel may still be on track!

👉 You can also visit your local postal service (e.g. NZ Post, La Poste, USPS) using your AusPost tracking number for more detailed updates.

  • While many parcels clear quickly, others may take longer, especially during peak periods or due to increased security checks.
